Ideas to tell family you're expecting..

Anyone have any good ideas of how to tell family? This will be my first baby, but my hubby has kids from a previous marriage, not sure how to tell his kids and parents we are expecting. Any ideas? I'm nervous they're not going to be happy. My family knows and is super excited. We've been trying and my family knew, and then my dad ended up passing unexpectedly, I kept telling everyone something was wrong with me, because I was taking it so much harder than everyone else. I tested the day after the funeral while all my family was still here most coming from 1800 miles away, and found out I was pregnant and my dad will never get to meet my baby. Just want to keep this a happy occasion.
