New relationship

I’ve been talking to this guy for awhile. We’ve both gotten out of a 2 year relationship that ended about 6 months ago with different people. We’ve been friends for a long time and decided to try it out. He’s been stressed about his finances recently and just seems out of it and not his usual self. We’ve had sex a couple times but I feel like I’m just farther invested than he is. I told him last night how I felt and he told me that he’s just not at a good place. I’m not sure what I should do. Leave it or wait?
