So went for an early ultrasound today (6w1d) and baby was there - even saw baby’s heartbeat! But baby is measuring only 5w5d. Anyone know why that might be? It doesn’t work out with our dates

I’m currently 10 weeks & ive had 2 scans already, both times the measurements were different & neither matched the due date going off my LMP. The first one was 5 days behind & the second one was 3 days behind. That is completely normal, it’s more uncommon to measure up exactly & it will change throughout your pregnancy. That is why most doctors go off of LMP & not the measurements

It could be their measurements are a bit off as they are measuring in mm I wouldn't suspect ur Dr will change the due date as it wasn't that much off but no issue. Other then this it could be that u ovulated different then u thought.
