Halloween Decor

Our neighborhood had a block party/meeting and it was highly suggested that anyone decorating for Halloween can do so as long as the decorations are not too scary for the children in the neighborhood. One Mom said "my child shouldn't be scared when trick-or-treating, it should be fun". It was also mentioned that if we buy something that is scary then most parents will just skip your house. Why are yalls thoughts on this? Should Hlloween Decor be catered towards children or are you ok with the scary decor that scares children? Personally my husband and I buy the scary stuff, play projectors of zombies in our windows and have scary music playing. We'll do it again this yr as well and if our house gets skipped then so be it🤷‍♀️
