Occiput posterior fetal position? (Back to back)
So I am 33 weeks pregnant and just had an ultrasound yesterday to assess my placenta location. At 20 weeks my placenta was “anterior and low lying”. I was told at the ultrasound yesterday that my placenta is still anterior but has migrated upward away from my cervix and baby is head down(yay!). But little man is still curled up next to my placenta, so his back against my back and face facing out towards my belly. I know this isn’t an ideal position for birth.
What is the likelihood that he will flip with face facing my back for birth? Ive been afraid of the idea of a long back labor and severe tearing ever since I was told I have an anterior placenta (i was told it increases odds of back-to-back delivery. Unsure of how true this is).
