Problem as a single mama

Lemme first be clear that there is NOTHING WRONG with being a SINGLE MAMA. That is not what this post is about.

I'm a single mom, finally landed on my two feet after about a year of just hitting roadblock after roadblock.

My baby boy's dad (or sperm donor as I call him because he left the second I got pregnant - no I didn't chase him, no don't want his money - God has always provided for the two of us) is not involved at all and that is his choice.

My family is scattered all over the place. My parents split a few years back, one remarried and moved, the other travels and lives in Europe now. My brother is married and doing his own thing with his troop of 6 kids and counting LOL.

My closest family members are a 2 hour plane ride away.

I've been doing it on my own and thankfully we are doing well! Got a good job, my son is in a good daycare, will be in school next September, we have a little two bedroom apartment and now I am finally ready to purchase a car! I currently have a little car which I was handed down but it's not going to survive another winter haha.

I'm looking for a used vehicle (a little crossover or SUV)

But here is my issue. How do I look at cars as a single mama?!?!? Like I have no one to watch him, and I can't take time off work to look at a car during the day. But in the evenings of course I have him and you can't road test with a toddler on your hip?!?!? Advice!!!! (Again please note I am pretty alone out here)
