Why aren’t health care workers getting vaccinated?

I’m genuinely just curious. I understand everyone has a choice and this isn’t for debate but if 96% of doctors in the United States are vaccinated why are a lot of healthcare workers quitting? Wouldn’t they trust the doctors they work with? I’m asking because I’ve been debating weather or not to get vaccinated, I trust my doctor who is vaccinated but I do wonder why nurses/techs ect won’t get vaccinated? My reason is I have severe generalized anxiety disorder and depression, and I’m afraid of having adverse reactions to the vax.

because people think facebook and Qanon groups are more trust worthy than medical professionals and doctors, even other medical professionals.

Because nobody should force anyone into a medical decision they are not comfortable with. Its a new vaccine, there is not enough research and there is always the possibility of adverse reactions even though most people dont have them, some do. Since the vaccine doesn't stop anyone from getting covid or spreading it, why are they beeing forced to get it anyway? The only one it affects is the person who gets it.

As a nurse, my initial decision was to wait a while until there was more and longer research periods before getting it. But, I’m also pregnant and when covid numbers spiked here again recently and our hospitals were back full, my husband and I chose to get bc I became more worried about getting covid and being in a ventilator, dying, or losing our baby. Pregnant women have increased chance of complications from covid. So my fear of getting covid finally outweighed my fear of getting the vaccine in other words.

I'm vaccinated, but I have zero right to tell someone else what to do with their body. If their job requires it and they choose not to get it, then they quit or be let go. 🤷‍♀️

Well the doctors they work with aren’t the ones who created the vaccine so their trust in them has nothing to do with it. Some want to wait until it’s been out longer with more research. Then there’s always people with medical reasons they shouldn’t get the vaccine.

Vaccinated healthcare worker here. Personally I don’t know a single health care worker that’s quitting because of the vaccine mandate. I know they’re around, but they’re far and few between where I work. 
I don’t believe for a second that the nursing/healthcare worker shortage is because of vaccines. We’ve been short nurses at my hospital for a long time, way longer than the mandate has been around.

Some people can't get it due to their medical history. And like everyone else, others have the right to chose.

Because you can be educated and still ignorant. Like how you have doctors that believe African Americans can't feel pain the same way as white people so don't need pain killers or anesthesia.
