Mack for a girl?

We don’t know gender but if it’s a boy I love the name Mack. I have a few names I kind of like for a girl (Sloan, Jenna) but I really just like the name Mack. Everyone says, “name her Mackenzie and call her Mack,” but I don’t like the name Mackenzie, I like the name Mack. Thoughts?

I agree it could be a cute nickname. If not for Mackenzie, what about Michaela, Marcella, or Maxine?
Or a first/middle combo like Mary Claire or Mae Catherine?

I actually really love that … I feel like it’s a really cool, unique (but not too unique) name for a girl. I envision her with a very strong personality, knows how to get things done, and no one pushes her around! I love it!

We have a friend named Marguerite, I think she’s french or something, but everyone calls her Mak.

I was set on the name MaKenna  for a while, with nn Mack. My husband wasn't fully on board though, and then my close cousin named her son Mac.
