Getting covid twice while vaccinated
Has anyone gotten covid twice while vaccinated? Our family got it in August (though my husband was the only one who got tested. We all the same symptoms), and just this past week I took my 18 month old in and she got diagnosed with RSV and covid again! She's at the tail end of it now (never needed hospitalization), and I caught covid from her! My husband and I are fully vaccinated, and supposedly we all got it twice. The only difference is my 18 month old was a lot worse this time and I don't think my 3 year old caught it. Has this happened to anyone? It just further supports my opinion that vaccines should not be mandated if you can still get it and spread it. Because we spread it to my FIL in August who ended up in the hospital (this was before we had symptoms). So basically, has this happened before to anyone? Also, fyi, husband had Moderna, I had Pfizer.
Edit: yes, I agree to be smart, masks, etc. It wasn't like we were having covid parties and got it that way. We have been smart about it. I'm a SAHM and we go out a couple times a week for errands and such, and my husband just goes to work. It's crazy that we got it twice and I know people who couldn't care less about covid who haven't gotten it at all. Not complaining too much. Just glad we're all OK.
