Worried please help !!!

OK so I was given medroxyprogesterone to try and start my period. So I could have some blood work done. On cycle day 3 and 21 of my cycle. I was told by my doctor that after I was done with the medication about my 2nd to 3rd day off the medication I should start my period . So I Took my medication and after I was done with it I started waited for my period start and it never did. I got to about day nine before I started I started to spot. The next day I started bleeding and everything seems normal. So I started it to counting my cycle days that same day as cycle day one. Well then cycle day two came around and I no longer was fully bleeding I was having only brown discharge and it was pretty light and stayed like that the entire day. Then cycle day three came around and I was still only having brown discharge and it was even lighter than the day before. So light that it only showed up when I wiped. It stayed like this through cycle day four and then it completely was gone by cycle day five and I haven’t had anything since then. I was wondering if anyone else has experience this. And or knows if is normal especially when taking medication to bring on a period. I’ve never experienced anything like this before and I was so much confused I didn’t even get my blood work done. Should I be worried?
