How often are you guys having sex when TTC?

I’m struggling because I work night shifts at a hospital and my fiancé works days at his job. So we have been on opposite schedules so it’s been hard. I’m just wondering ideally how often you guys are having sex with your partner?

Every other day during my fertile period until I got a positive ovulation test then that day and the day after. This worked for my second pregnancy. Key day is the day before you ovulate. My doctor recommended not to try daily or multiple a day for the sperm to replenish and it’s not necessary as sperm can live up to 5 days. In saying that with my first pregnancy I hadn’t tracked ovulation and tried everyday.

I had sex twice in fertile window, used pre-seed and didn't have a chance to have sex on or after ovulation (due to work commitments) and was fortunate to get pregnant
