March guy freaks out at Dr apt.

I was just at his well apt and as soon as we got in the building he started crying. He said I don't want to go in there. He wouldn't stop until much later in the apt. The Dr suggested a person come to our home to determine if he has social problems. He definitely is shy around people he doesn't see much. We have kept him out of activities and such due to covid. Otherwise we can't get him to stop talking. My husband does not want some person to evaluate him and says he doesn't want him labeled. Not sure what to do here.
