Am I right to feel a bit weird about this?

So I haven't been posting a lot of my baby on Facebook very intentionally. (he's 1yo, 14 months, and I've posted him on Facebook maybe twice?) 
Last week I sent my dad a video of our son painting.
A few days later my stepmom (who I'm not 100% on one page with because of how she treated me and my siblings) posted the video on her facebook.
I do feel a bit like 😕 about it.. Like I'm intentionally not posting this on Facebook (I did post it on Instagram, because I only have people on there that are actually really close to us, like 8 people or so... I intentionally do not have her on instagram)
I won't be causing drama over it but I do feel a certain way about it like... Idk she could have asked 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would talk to them about it. I don’t post my baby on social media, and our families know that and respect it.

I have the same relationship with my step “mom” and I’d be upset too. Like you see I’m not posting it & sent it privately for a reason 🤦🏻‍♀️

I would say something... in fact I did to my mother-in-law and it caused this whole huge argument.. so just be expecting that. However, I would do it over if I had to because boundaries I have for my son is more important than other people’s feelings.

Totally uncool. My mom did this once and I lost it. Make it clear you’re not putting your kid on social media and she needs to take it down.

I think this is something that our parents’ generation just doesn’t think about or isn’t aware of, so you can kindly explain your stance on it so it doesn’t happen in the future. “I saw that you posted that video I sent you. We’re not posting videos or pictures of our kid on Facebook for XYZ reasons. Can you please take down that post?”
And if you’re ok with them posting occasionally, you could add “If you’d like to post something in the future, can you please run it by me first? We’d like to keep control over what pictures and videos are shared on social media.”

Absolutely right. I don't have social media and anytime my family has pictures of my son I've always been asked if they can post. Other than my mother in law a few times and I've said something to her
