Why is it so hard to go on disability??

I have cholestasis, gestational diabetes, a history of preterm labor and have already been to L&D twice this pregnancy with preterm labor.. working is killing me and I’m itching constantly! Why is it so hard for my doctor to put me on disability.. she just keeps writing work notes taking me out of work for days at a time but I’m out of sick pay 😩

Oh is very hard to get disability you literally got to be handicapped to get it they don’t approve it like that unfortunately

I got disability for cholestasis alone with my last pregnancy, my disability reason on the paperwork only said cholestasis of pregnancy and I was 33 weeks when it was accepted

I don't think itching and GD would qualify for disability. They're not disabilities. If your doctor put you on bedrest for preterm labor that would be a different story.

It usually takes a doctor putting u on bedrest before they will sign papers for disability. I had a friend who just went through this it was a pain in the butt for her to get her doctor to put her on bedrest and sign her papers for disability but she finally got it.

I got it at 30-33 weeks with my last three pregnancies for preterm labor and cholestasis but getting this doctor to turn in the form is almost impossible

I didn’t think you could get disability for pregnancy related illnesses 🤷‍♀️
