Did I escalate this situation?

This is a long story. I’m sorry. My bf is self employed and has been making good money. Even then, he still lives at home but contributes to rent. He pays his parents 1,300.

So 2 weeks ago my bf told he had 4K saved which I don’t think it’s a lot. So he invests alot in his job and profit isn’t as much (I’m assuming) it’s kinda like a mechanic job where they buy parts and the profit is the labor. If I make sense? Not sure how to explain his business

Today he told me his parents are giving him a hard time about the money he’s making. His parents are questioning what he does with his money. ( I find that insane) I’m not sure if they know something I don’t?

So he sends me this.

Earlier today he sends me a pic of the stack of 100 dollar bills In his car seat. It’s been bugging me because I lost my job and only working part time …i didn’t want to sound like a hater.

I just said “nice baby” the thing that annoys me is that he said he doesn’t show anyone except me. I know he sent it to his cousin because his cousin is good friends with my cousin. I was with them when his cousin showed me the exact same picture and said “why does he show off alot?”

Idk why he asked me if I make 5k a week when clearly

He knows I don’t make that much money. He thinks his mom is jelous of him and I said i don’t think she is..

Not sure that I fucked up by calling him stuck up…. But I feel like he’s putting me down
