New career??
I've been a cook for almost 5 years now. Its honestly the most draining AND toxic work environment I've ever experienced. I've worked at a few different places and I've never once been treated with respect and appreciated for how hard I work.
I want to change career paths but I have no clue where to start, especially since starting somewhere new I don't think I'd make as much as I do now as lead cook.
I'm only 19 (started culinary classes and catering at 14. I was technically a volunteer for the catering company and wasnt paid in money so labor laws not a thing) so that might help employers be willing to train me, but so far everyone sees how much experience I have in that field and how little I have in everything else and passes.
Any advice welcome.
