What can I do???

Question

Just got sent home from l&d. I’ve been having 5-6 minutes apart contractions since 10 this morning. They have become increasingly painful where I can’t walk or talk through them. I’m 2 cm 80% effaced what can I do to get labor going?? I’m in so much pain I can barely stand it for much longer

I had this with my son who is now 2 and it was miserable. I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep at all. My only advice is try to breathe and relax. I worked myself up so much that it only caused more stress and more pain. I wish I could go back and force myself to breathe, take a bath, go for a walk outdoors, literally anything. I swear I made it worse by just stressing and wanting it to be done. I know it’s so so hard, but try to relax. It will come soon! Your body will dilate better when you are at ease!

I was like that the day before real labor. I knew I was going to labor so I took a three mile hike up a huge hilly hiking trail, went grocery shopping went back home cooked and cleaned drank a ton of water and went to bed. Woke up three hours later in active labor. Went to hospital after laboring at home for 5 hours waiting until they were super painful but manageable ( fine line to play lol) my contractions didn’t get closer together they stayed at 5-6 minutes and didn’t get closer until I hit 8 centimeters ( which was really quick) 
My midwife said sometimes they don’t get closer necessarily  until the end if the contractions are super efficient.

What can I do???
