Best time for sex pls help!!!

Hey ladies,

Hoping for someone to just read this and be open-minded to my potential dumb questions lol

So, my husband and I have been married for 3 months. We didn’t practice pre-marital sex. Now, we’ve tried sex a few times, but it hasn’t gone too hot which stinks bc our other newlywed folks do it quite often. Not comparing myself to others, just noticing a difference.

So, I am not comfortable with going on a birth control pill, for my own personal reasons. We don’t want a baby right now at all, so I’ve been making him use protection.

We’ve never had UNprotected sex because Im nervous about getting pregnant and it seems I can’t keep track of my ovulation.

So, since I ask my husband to use protection, he’s mentioned to me that it doesn’t really feel satisfactory for him (he’s uncircumcised and wearing a condom). This has been leading us to not have sex very often, and I need some advice.

When,generally, is the most safe time to have unprotected sex(while using the pull-out method). Women in my life mention a few days before a period?

What methods do you all use?

Are there safe alternatives that I don’t know of that are besides a pill, IUD, arm injection, or condom?
