💕🎀Our baby girl is here!!🎀💕

On Monday 10/11/21 I was induced. Cytotec helped to thin my cervix so I decided to skip the pitocin since I was dilating. I did get an epidural at 4-5 cm, unfortunately it only numbed mostly my left side and I could still feel most of my right side. I began to feel really weak, my heart was racing and I was having palpitations. It was a huge sign to me that whatever was in the epidural was making me feel like I didn’t even have the strength to give birth. I felt as though I could pass out and my ears began ringing. I stopped the epidural and began to slowly feel better the more it wore off. By the time I was feeling stronger contractions it was apparent that I would be giving birth without pain meds. My midwife checked me and said I was about 6 cm, a few minutes later my water broke on its own and that’s when baby started to make her way down. I could feel her coming fast. In fact she was born about 20 minutes after my water broke. That’s how quickly I went from a 6 to a 10! Not going to lie the pain was immense! However the only thing that helped ground me was the fact that I’ve watched so many nurse midwife videos on how to breathe through labor. Even though I didn’t plan to have a pain med free birth, I’m glad it happened the way it did. Worth all the pain! She’s here, she’s healthy and we are doing well! Welcome to the world Lilyana Juliet!! 🥰😊💕
