Best book of the Bible to read for beginners?

I enjoy reading the Bible but most of the time I’m struggling to fully understand and understand the deeper meaning of the text.
What book of the Bible do you suggest i start with?

John and mark is good so far I read them with bible study members. Acts is good to about the disciples and the acts they have done to spread the good news of Jesus and helping many live a life of equality and love ect

I'm going to say Luke. It's my absolute favorite book followed by Ruth. That being said  starting anywhere is a good start :)

I started in the very begining and got stuck in leviticus and let me tell you, I hear someone say to start with the gospels and it was like the bible came alive!!!!! I could understand the things I couldn't from where I started in the beginning.

Do you know what translation you're using? I find the New Living Translation (NLT) helpful for understanding. Any Gospel book would be great--Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. 🙂
