When should kid get own breakfast? 🥣🥞

At what age do you think a child is able to pour there own cereal in the morning without supervision?

My son is three and sometimes when I'm really tired he'll go get a yogurt or fruit out of the fridge🤷‍♀️

I just asked my mom this and she said my sister and I got our own breakfast (anything that didn’t need heating/toasting) by 6 yo. It definitely depends on the kid and how involved you let them be in the kitchen on a regular basis. 
My nephew is 5 and he’s been in the kitchen helping my sister basically since he could stand. Pouring ingredients into a bowl, stirring, cracking eggs, etc and he can definitely pour his own cereal and milk already without help. His tableware is in an accessible cabinet and he has a stool to get things out of the pantry/fridge

I think it just depends on the kid and how much of a mess you’re willing to clean up lol there’s no way I’d let my 7 year old yet 😂 he makes a mess making his own drinks

Depends on how well you teach them. If you aren't teaching them to be independent then none of this matters and they will never do anyhting on thier own.

My 6 year old can feed herself most of the time if she feels so inclined.
