Waiting patiently ⌛️

One stint of preterm contractions at 36+5 resulted in packed bags and thinking she was coming! I started having contractions around 6:00 at about 10 minutes apart. They gradually got closer together and at midnight they were 6-7 minutes apart and getting intense. I called my doctor and she told me to come on in. By the time we got to the hospital my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart and they were definitely something I had to breathe through. Getting close to baby time right? Wrong. I was still only sitting at a 1. The doctor took a quick peek at her with an ultrasound and discovered that she had turned breech again after just having gone head down the week before. I was offered to see if I was progressing with labor, and if I made cervical change they could do a c section, or she offered to do an ECV. I opted for the ECV which was successful thankfully! Before the procedure, I was given terbutaline to slow my contractions so they didn’t have to fight them while turning her and they just never came back and I never dilated further. Home now and patiently waiting, my sweet.
