20 weeks pregnant and 3cm dilated

I need some advice so yesterday I went to my anatomy scan and they saw I was 3cm dilated. They sent me to Hospital and they gave me some options. Option 1 was the stitch, 2nd option was to stay on medication so my cervix stays hard and doesn’t get any bigger, and 3rd option was to terminate. I was going to do the stitch but they told me it was a chance that they were going to poke me and I could possibly go into labor. And also increase of an infection. So I made the decision to stay on medication and see what happens. I am very scared and need some advice and some encouragement. I really want my baby. But if it’s not healthy for either of us I have no choice but to end this pregnancy. Help!!!
