Piercing?

My daughter is 15, and really wants her nose pierced. She has the upper part of her ear cartilage done that I got her for her birthday, however I don’t know how I feel about her piercing her face. Would you let her? Or make her wait? Thanks for all the opinions!!

I would let her. At 14 my mom signed off for me to get my belly button pierced. As an adult i wish i wouldve done my nose! I also kept my belly ring in until i got pregnant at almost 23!

I would definitely let her do it. That way you can go with her and make sure she is going to a clean place. I know a girl from high school that went to a sketchy place that didn’t require ID or parental signatures and surprise surprise her nose piercing got infected. My mom made me wait until I was 18 to get my nose pierced and I was incredibly upset by it. I waited, but I wish she had let me get it sooner. I’ve had it for 10 years now. Love my nose ring!

My mom let me pierce my belly button and nose when I was 15. I’m 35 now and still have them plus more. I say if it’s her personality and she wants it let her it’s an expression of herself and cute. Just let her know if she doesn’t like it it will leave a scare and etc. educate and let her make the final choice.

It wouldn’t be a big deal to me, however it’s only a couple more years until she is 18 and she can make her own decisions if it makes you that uncomfortable.

It’s not permanent. Kids need to express themselves. Just go to a reputable piercer. 
My dad wouldn’t let me do shit at that age and I rebelled, HARD.

Go for it! Just make sure she takes care of it properly & takes it out for job interviews when she starts doing them (& get a clear nose ring once she gets a job).

Honestly as far as facial piercings go that is the smallest guage and doesn't really leave scarring. I got mine at 13 and I don't regret it at all because I can take it out qnd you can't even tell it is pierced.

I probably would let my kid at that age get a piercing as long as I felt they were responsible enough. Like, not go crazy and pierce their entire face lol, but a nose ring isn’t much different from earrings in my opinion.
