Anyone else working the holidays to stay away from toxic family or to feel less lonely

I’m working crazy overtime until the holidays pass. My family is toxic and I usually spend Thanksgiving and Christmas wishing I had a family where we did fun things like go to lodges or actually leave the house. Always so bored and as an only child I didn’t have any siblings to tag along with or play with them so it was usually me alone watching tv all day from age preschool to last year. While my mom pranced around the house each year pretending to be a housewife and being super sweet and grateful for me as a daughter even tho she would then emotionally abuse me the next day. Hard pass. About to get the bag
