Hair pulling
Let me start off by saying I’m a dog walker and I back wear my baby while I walk dogs. My son loves coming on walks with me but today I started pulling my hair really hard. I’m trying my very best to do gentle parenting but this was a rough one for me and I didn’t know what to do since he’s on my back and I couldn’t take him out because I was walking a dog. I grabbed my hair from him and said don’t pull mommy’s hair it hurts her but he’s 16 months and he thought this was hilarious! He was laughing so hard. It was extremely frustrating because he was being so rough about it. I ended up taking the back carrier off and carrying it on my side because he wasn’t listen when I said stop (obviously because he’s 16 months lol) this is a hard age for sure especially when you’re trying not to lose it 😂 I was almost in tears with how hard he was pulling it non stop. Getting different childcare while I walk is not an option for me, I can’t afford it and I need to work so we’re kind of stuck. I’m seriously hoping this was just a one time thing but I have no idea what to do if it happens again. Me taking my hair out of his hands was the funny part to him i don’t know why and it’s not like I could ignore it because it hurt lol, does anyone have any tips for me to stop this behavior? I’m not expecting him to learn right away but I definitely can’t be letting him yank my hair out 😭
