Help!

So I did end up calling his doctor we had a zoom meeting and he said to take him to urgent care ( 15min from me) or ER (35min) he recommended the er bc they had a pediatric unit . Bc it's just a fever but a bit high he wanted to make sure that there's no infection. I'm at the hospital now waiting. Doesn't seem to worry them though, they took urine and did did a flu and covid swab.

Last night my 4yr old spiked a fever of 103 , At 3am, I got him up gave him advil and some soup and fluids and wet rags. His temp went down to 101 and went to sleep. It's now 12 and his fever is going back up again 103. No other symptoms just fever and feeling crappy. I don't want to take him to urgent care bc they'll only give fluids and maybe draw blood. What would you do. I was supposed to work at 2 but I don't want to leave him like that I also have a 1 yr old
