3 year old Gagging on snot
I’m going to call his doctor in the morning and see if he just needs a refill for his nebulizer or if he needs to be seen. But I think my son just has a cold. Last night, I woke up to him swallowing constantly in his sleep, then he sat up and seemed to be choking so I quickly picked him up and then he threw up all over the floor. Then he started whimpering and crying, so I know he is feeling miserable. It breaks my hearts. This is like the 3rd time he’s ever been sick. So, I’m having trouble sleeping due to anxiety.
He does have a mild cough. His temp was 99.3. Nose is runny and stopped up. Sneezing. His eyes are watery. He keeps stopping what he’s doing, runs up to me and giving me hugs and kisses and sniffling, saying “I love you mama.” I wish I could be sick for him so he didn’t have to feel like this. 😭
He’s not used to having his nose suctioned either, so that’s fun. 😩 and now he’s sleeping on the futon I covered in towels since I can sit the back of it half way so he doesn’t lay flat and doesn’t choke on the snot.
Is there anything else I can do for him? I feel horrible and it’s my fault he’s sick. The one time I don’t wipe down a cart with a sanitizing wipe. ☹️
