Speech Delay Problem

Hey ladies, both of my kids have speech delay problems. One is in preschool and my girl is in kinder. Both are getting additional help at school with the speech pathologist but I want to know if there is more I can get for them to help them. It frustrates me not being able to establish a conversation with my daughter and not knowing how her day was in school! It frightens me to even think about them being physically or mentally abuse in school. Let’s be honest this should not happen in schools but it does. Am I overthinking? I just worry to my stomach thinking of this. Should I ask their pediatrician to maybe refer them to a specialist and get additional help. Maybe get a psychologist involved?
