OB brushed me off.

Hey ladies. I am currently 36+4 weeks and went in for my OB appointment today. I have GD and my baby is very large. Estimated fetal weight of 8lbs1oz based off of ultrasound done at 36+1. My OB at my last visit said i will be induced at 39 weeks because its not safe for women with gestational diabetes to go to term as the chance of stillbirth increases. This was said before he jumped to the 95th percentile. She was concerned about how big he was based off of my 33 week scan where he was only 5lbs9oz and now hes huge.

I go in to my appointment and its a different OB today because mine was on vacation. She had no idea about my medical history with GD... seems as if she didnt even read my chart before entering the room. I brought up my concern about my sons size and how i know if hes above 9lbs at birth the chance of shoulder dystocia, nerve damage, injury and c section is higher. I asked her if 39 weeks was still what we were looking at and if so, would it make more sense for us to book a c section instead. She brushed it off completely and said my OB will be the one to book my induction or c section. She said womwn have pushed out 15lb babies in the past and were fine and i will be too even though she has no idea what my anatomy is like (her words) The issue is, i HAVE to deliver before 39 weeks according to my OB. My OB is on vacation and i wont see her until im 38+6... 1 day before i hit 39 weeks and she wont be in the office until then. My appointment next week is with this same OB that brushed all my concerns off today. The last thing i want is to go in to my appointment at 38+6 and my doctor be like ok go to L&D today or tomorrow. Like i want some notice if that makes sense? Especially if its a c section so i can prepare myself. How can i convince this OB to set me a date at my 37 week appointment next week?
