Cooper IUD experience

Hello.

I got a copper iud almost two months ago. Had two ultrasounds the first month to check everything is in place. During the first month I started to get cramps and spotting 2 weeks before my period (That’s when i got a second ultrasound). The period itself was fine, longer but nothing I could not handle. Now this is the second month, felt fine but again, 1-2 weeks before my period is supposed to start I get bad cramps, spotting and lots of watery discharge which is a nightmare cause even the panty liners don’t work sometimes. Thinking about taking it out, I feel so uncomfortable and because of the cramps and spotting I can’t even have sex so what’s the point. Have you ever had this issue? And if yes, did it resolve?

I can not be on hormonal birth control because of medical reasons so this is the only good option for me. I’m frustrated it did not turn out to be as comfortable as I was expecting. I counted the days I am actually comfortable enough to have intercourse and it’s 10 days out of the whole month. Please tell me it gets better 😭 I don’t want to take it out too early but this constant feeling of pressure in my uterus plus the side effects are stressing me out
