Hey guys! Sorry to post this here but I’m not sure where else to go. My husband has had a fever for five days and today it hit 103. He’s taking Tylenol every 6 hours but at that 5 hour mark his temp goes right back up. Is it even safe to take Tylenol for this long? 
I’m really worried about him.

If the fever is the only symptom that is threatening at this point then absolutley DO NOT go to the hospital. Trust me on this one.
Switch to a different fever reducer that is not a hepatoxic. Advil will work. Also cool washcloths/baths and maintaining proper hydration should help. 
Obviously if he degrades and is in trouble beyond your scope by all means seek attention....but try to treat at home for as long as possible.

TAKE HIM TO THE ER. Tylenol should not be taken long term as it can cause liver damage. But if his fever hasn’t broken by now then it’s time to take him in to be checked. Good luck and god bless.

Also if he is having trouble breathing at all he definitely needs be checked out. He may need some steroids to help boost his immune system.

Could be or it might not. Many people have had high fevers with covid. My family only ever ran low grade fevers. Regardless, a fever that is not improving after 5 days requires a trip to the doctor.
