Sleep help with toddler.

Jensa • Mom to Raven & Gabriel❤️

Getting my 3 year old to sleep or take a nap (actually just to sit and relax in general) is a pain in the butt. She always has to be on the go and does not listen when you tell her to do something or stop doing something. We give her melatonin at night sometimes just to help her calm down, but it doesn’t always work. I lose my patience with her easily and I feel bad about it, but I also have a 1 year old son to care of.

She starts Head Start on Monday so I hope being in a scrunched environment and around kids for 6 hours a day will help. She’s also afraid to be in her room by herself (says there are monsters in it) so she sleeps in bed with my boyfriend and I (our son sleeps in a crib in our room.) She hates being in there by herself.

How can I help her sleep easier? I don’t want to keep giving her melatonin. I’ve tried a bath before bed with lavender bubble bath but that doesn’t even help. It’s like her brain is always on overdrive. I have to make an appointment for a physical for head start so I’ll probably ask her doctor then.
