How to stop breastfeeding?

So I'm currently pregnant and so breatfeeding my one year old is getting really uncomfortable, and I want to get him off the boob by the tame the new baby comes along that way he doesn't feel like the baby stole his thunder. I just don't know how? Like is it better to wheen him off or cold turkey stop? I need help..

I would cut one feed out at a time. Does he ask to nurse or do you initiate the feedings? If you initiate, just stop and see if he asks. My daughter was down to two feedings a day, morning and night, and one day I just waited to see if she ever asked and she didn't. That was it!

I slowly weaned- but my son was 2 years and a few months. We started with night weaning and then slowly cut one feed out a day until he was only nursing in the morning and at night to go to sleep. He stopped wanting it the morning on his own and then he just started falling asleep without it at night too.
