Getting my 2 year old to brush his teeth

Any advice on this? Just recently my son has decided he hates to brush his teeth and it is a fight every morning and night to do it. We of course cannot just stop brushing and I feel like I have tried everything so I’m looking here to see if y’all have any advice that maybe I haven’t tried yet. I let him pick out his own toothbrush, yummy tasting toothpaste, we watch the Blippi toothbrush song while brushing, ive tried letting him brush mine, letting him brush first then I finish, he hates electric ones. I’m at a loss. The dentist said to wrap him in a blanket and hold him down and brush his teeth but absolutely not going to do that. I’m desperate for any advice that doesn’t include holding him down because I just cannot do that to him but we have to get his teeth done twice a day. Thank you in advance for any help!!
