Bloody poop?!

I noticed my 7 week old having more gas than usual and it’s followed by explosive poop with red mucus. Any ideas?

Talk to your baby pediatrician especially when you see blood in poop. It is not normal. As soon as I saw blood in my sons poop just like that,  I went to the emergency room. It was mucusy & had blood specs just like your picture. They said his intestines were swollen & to follow up with pediatrician. Turns out it was a milk allergy. I had to go cold turkey from bf for 2 weeks to get all the milk out my system so I’ve been dairy free. The blood in his poop went away after like a week. Everyone’s babies are not the same so please talk to your babies pediatrician.

My baby had the same a few times when he was a couple months old. We did a stool sample and it came back clear of course 🤦‍♀️ and then it happened again after we did the stool sample. He would poop A LOT so we kind of just figured it was from pooping so much and i was EBF, not eating any dairy so we ruled out dairy allergy. 
It resolved on its own. 
It looked just like how your baby’s diaper looks. He’s 19 months old now and healthy!
