Im 8weeks postpartum and have tried intercourse for the first time since before having baby, but its feels very painful almost like its tightening? is this normal? and how can i help it not hurt…

We had sex for the first time at 13 weeks pp and it wasn't enjoyable. Sex didn't start to feel good again until I was like 7 months pp. You very well could not be ready for sex yet. But it's important to take it slow and use lots of lube. Don't force it. Eventually it will fell good again

It can hurt. If you got the clear from your dr, it's safe to have sex. Try using lube. My favorite is coconut oil (obviously not used with condoms). But it's very safe to use naturally. 
Try extra foreplay and going slow.
