Spotting... first trimester

I keep seeing post about women being worried about first trimester spotting and I wanted to share my experience to ease your mind! (I even posted one at the beginning and had so many misinformed women comment, saying I was experiencing miscarriage)

I was recently diagnosed with "first trimester bleeding"...25% of women experience this while pregnant. That's 1 in 4 women...kinda crazy how high that number is. The spotting can be red, brown, or even pink. They haven't figured out the cause behind it, but I promise you bleeding isn't always an indication of something being wrong!!! It's totally normal and more common than talked about. I do recommend reaching out to your doctor everytime something like this does occur, because sadly bleeding is also an indication something is wrong....but usually a little wipe or a couple of spots in your underwear is nothing to cause concern 🙂
