Poland adoption for a UK child??

Can the grandmother apply for adoption of the grandchild and be granted it without there being any reason for a child to leave the parents?? My partners mom wants to apply for adoption as soon as my son is born, says to give our dog back to the people we got him off of because 'hes a dangerous breed' when he isn't and is questioning if I'm gonna throw my partner out onto the streets aswell. Really don't know what to even think about any of this. Love all 3 of them completely and unconditionally but his mom is really starting to piss me off more and more. Last month she was damanding to name our son Philip because that's what she wanted to name her son that passed, she demands that we move to Poland because she doesn't want to leave her home country but I don't know polish and have trouble not having panic attacks over there when on the trams or in shopping malls.

Any advice or anything please sorry for putting it here and being long, don't know where else to turn right now.
