When do high risk pregnancy appointments start?

I had my first son at 24 weeks for unknown reasons and I just found out I’m pregnant again 4 years later! I’m 4 weeks pregnant. At what week do high risk OBs usually start seeing you? Is it still at 8 weeks or sooner? I’m in the US

If you are high risk they will see you at the high risk specialist in the first trimester usually 10-13 weeks.  If you are at risk for preterm labor they will probably monitor you very closely.

I am not sure where you are based but in the Uk, if you are high risk you can request for scans as early as 6 weeks. Hoping you have a safe and healthy pregnancy 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m high risk in the US for preterm babies x2. I just had my first app at 5w6d.

I started at 10 weeks and have been going every 2 weeks since then. I don’t always get an ultrasound, probably every other appointment

i had the same issue i was considered high risk bc i had got a blood clot after having my first they did a lot of blood work on me right away to see if i have clotting issues which i didn’t so i’m not classified as high risk anymore but they are keeping an close eye on me after birth to make sure it doesn’t happen again  good luck love
