Dry skin on babe’s head - just dry or eczema?

So my babe has had a few random spots of eczema in his six months on this earth. We’ve always used the Babo Botanicals healing ointment and they clear up in a few days.

It’s super dry in our house because it’s cold out and the heat is dry. We have humidifiers going in the rooms he hangs out in and I’ve been moisturizing his head multiple times a day but it looks so sad!!! He now has this overall dryness on his forehead / scalp - do y’all think this is also eczema or is it always in those sort of oval patches? It’s hard to photograph but I included some below.

We have his 6mo check up in a few days so I’ll ask the doc, but figured I’d ask the hive mind in the meantime. Thanks in advance for any help you might have!
