Okay I need you guys to settle a debate here I’m genuinely curious but also I’m starting to sweat now 😅

I was talking with friends about what I got my girlfriend for Christmas gifts and saying I got a bunch of Rihanna’s stuff from Savage Fenty. I got my love some things of her own I’d love to see her in but also got us a matching set. As soon as I said that my friend immediately changed her tone and said that was weird. It’s not a very sexy lacy set or anything it’s more like lounge wear and I thought this was normal. How would you guys feel about receiving this gift? Do you think the matching sets should be left out of the Christmas gifts? The consensus was that matching shirts or something isn’t weird or even coordinated outfit pieces that aren’t the same but matching lingerie was apparently uncomfortable in some way?

For context- if it matters?? we are both are kind of switchy in how we dress, I have a wider range masc- femme than she does. We are a very loving “cutesy” couple and we do have one matching shirt but don’t plan it and have never worn them on the same day
