I LOVE MAC

I just turned 32, and this year I finally put my foot down about making effort and spending time and money on taking care of myself. I got a full head of highlights, got everything south of the waist waxed, started doing my nails, focused on further dialing in diet stuff for hormonal/autoimmune needs, and started making appointments at a nearby MAC store.

I met the most amazing woman at this store. I really felt heard and understood, and she not only helped me feel informed and empowered, but helped me choose what to buy without any pressure. She actually really emphasized making sure I only buy what I will actually use. Not only did she perfectly meet me where I was, but she also helped me understand so much more about my skin, eyes, face structure, and coloring, that I never noticed or understood before. As a result she also helped me see and understand so much more than what had been in my comfort zone up to that point.

This started in the middle of summer. I have since lost 35+ pounds, and feel so much more involved in grooming and caring for my own body. Obviously makeup isn’t required for this, but it has become a significant part of what helps me feel more confident and in control.
