Moving out of state with my dog

So I live in FL and can’t afford to live here anymore. My fam is in PA and that’s where I wanna be, however, I have a shorter haired hound dog. Now, he would obviously not be outdoors during the cold and in the house with the heat on… I’m just concerned because it’s a way different climate down here… i will have to get him acclimated to the cooler weather. It does get hot in PA during the spring and summer, but I do worry about winter. thoughts? Will my dog be ok as long as he’s inside?
