First time mom & flying/mother-in-law.....HELP!
Okay so I really have a lot of anxiety about this so I would appreciate answers that are kind to postpartum anxiety feelings.
My daughter was born October 21st so she's a little over 9 weeks old now..
My husband told me that his grandmother is having a birthday party and his grandpa wants all of the grand children to be there. Its on January 15th... and honestly this is the only grand child that doesn't live in the same state as all of the others. Not that thats important but also.... lol
My daughter won't even be 3 months by this party.
Anyways, i digress, but my husband asked me about going & I said I would think about it because I am super anxious when it comes to flying anyways, now with a baby thats added stress & with covid being everywhere it's just a lot. Throw in the fact that I don't trust his mother at all with our baby for other reasons and don't know his family that well...it's just something I needed to think about.
Now, his mom (my mother in law) just texted me with the booked flights...
I get that they just booked them & paid....I don't want to be rude but no one gave me the time to think it all through & I honestly want to tell them no at this point.
I dont like the idea of his family wanting to hold my daughter and pass her around, im breastfeeding almost solely at this point but i try bottles here & there, also its literally for one day to do all of this....
I have no idea what to do! I have no idea how to fly with an infant and it just seems too soon for me...
has anyone else had any problems like this??
Thank you for your kind responses :)
