Need reassurance I'm doing this right
Hi guys so i am trying to get into the navy but i need to lose about 20 pounds. I know it's gonna take some time but I'm honestly miserable at my current job so i am being a little impatient. But i also feeling anxious because i am feeling like maybe i am not doing enough to get to where i need to.
I recently downloaded a calorie tracker and I've been staying at about 1200 calories everyday. I do go over that about 3-4 days a week when I go on a run (i walk and run about 3 miles) so I'm not low on energy. I don't run every day because since I'm barely starting out Ive read online it's bad to do it everyday and i might hurt myself. My diet consists of chicken, fish, veggies, brown rice, fruit smoothies (for fuel before i run), cheese stick, mandarine, and protein shake. And about 10 cups of water everyday.
I've only been doing this a week so it might be a while til I see progress but i guess I'm just being impatient and wanting to speed up the process because i think I'm kind of burnt out at my current job. Any advice? Am i doing this right?
