Short Cervix 2cm

I was told today by my OB that baby is perfect, growing well, however he mentioned that my cervix is shortened, it’s at 2cm whereas it should be about 4cm.

He put me on progesterone, and scheduled a follow up in 2 weeks.

He explicitly told me not to panic, so naturally I am panicking… especially after doing some research and reading about preterm labour.

No bed rest, just told me to take it easy and not do any heavy lifting or overexertion.

Anyone else have this happen?
