Found a random book in my house that no one knows where it came from?

Idk where to post this question. So basically, my three year old loves to read. She has a ton of books and about once a month I sit down with her and all of her books and ask her about each individual book - if she wants to keep it or give it away. The last time we did this was just before Christmas because I knew she’d be getting a couple new books from family. We traveled six hours from home and actually didn’t come home with any brand new books, just a single book that my mom (kinder teacher) passed on to daughter from her class room. Anyway, tonight I was tidying up my bedroom and found a stack of books my daughter brought in from her room. The book on top was a book I’ve never seen before, and looked brand new (the pages made that crinkle noise when I opened the book, and the CD attached to the back cover was brand new too). So I took the book to my daughter and asked her if she remembers where it came from, she said no (again, she’s three, I don’t blame her for not knowing). So then I ask my husband and he immediately calls me crazy, saying that I must have just forgotten I got her a new book. (This book is currently selling for $20 on Amazon for the condition it’s in, and I’ve never forgotten about a book I’ve bought. Lol). My husband also says that he remembers seeing it in the trunk of my car at some point after Christmas (odd because I was the one to load all presents into the car and unload my car when we got home, not him). So anyway, I text all of my family that we saw over the holidays, and even some we didn’t see, just for good measure, and no one knows where this danged book came from. No one has ever see this book before, except for my husbands claim to have seen it in my trunk.

I’m freaking out thinking worse case scenario about some creep breaking into my house and leaving a random children’s book in my house to mess with my family. 😳🙄 but then I’m also like, “why is my husband going off on me calling me crazy and saying he’s seen the book before when no one else has?” Kind of a thing…

What do y’all think?? What would you do if you were in this situation?
