I really really want to name my daughter olivia but my boyfriend insists on ellie,,, i’m trying to compromise here???  middle name not an option bevause her middle name is already chosen it is claire

You need to ditch both names. The sounds are not that far off from each other though. There are alternatives that could work:
Ophelia
Eliana
Amelia
Odelia (Odilia)
Ottilie 
Eleanor
Leona

Honestly, if you go with ellivia and call her ellie you will feel disappointed anyways. Either pick a new name that you can compromise on, or pick one and hope you have another girl baby in the future.

I like Ellie. Everyone and their mother is naming their baby Olivia right now. Not that it’s not cute, Ellie is more unique. Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️
