Toddler bed? Tantrums? 🙂🙂🙂

Hey ladies! I saw another Mama just post about the joys or tantrums. 🥲 oh boy! I almost can’t even imagine 2s or 3s if 1 1/2s are about to take me out! 😂 Major doesn’t “fall out” (yet anyway) but he just meltdown. The slightest inconvenience is a full blown tear fest. And my husband does NOT do well with it at all. Whew! Just say prayer for us! Lol but I saw another mom in a different support community post about her little girl getting a big girl bed. Just wondering how many other Mama’s have already made that transition and if you haven’t, have you thought about it? Because honestly, until I saw her post it hadn’t even crossed my mind. 🙃

I use a lot of diversion during tantrums if I can! 
I bought him a full sized mattress for the floor and it’s surrounded by a play pen. I have no clue how people could ever get their toddler to stay in bed at night. 😅 He’s been in this set up for a few months and it works great for us.

We had a spare guest bed and just transitioned our LO into that instead of a toddler bed. It is great because we can lay with him if he's teething or not feeling well. He sleeps so much better in a regular bed too.
For tantrums we do timeouts - just a minute or so, but it helps a lot!

We just made the transition to toddler bed last night and it went flawlessly!! Nap time today was fantastic too. I thought it was too soon but our LO was obviously ready.

I've been thinking about it but she sleeps so great I don't want to change anything unless I have to, my default will be a mattress on the floor if need be haha

The tantrums are real!! And the hitting 😳 When she's frustrated, someone usually gets hit. Am trying so hard to be patient and talk about it all. 
We moved her into a single floor bed yesterday, and has been a bit glitchy. Naps fine so far, but last night I ended up in bed with her, as she was really needy.
Wanted to transition her now, as baby number 2 is due in May, so thought it may be easier doing it now 🤷‍♀️

Oh hell no . I’m keeping this kid in a sleep sack
And in her crib as long as I can ! Currently 22 months … I like my sleep too much and I don’t NOT want to deal with her getting out of her bed over and over again
